40 hours per week
Back in the market research days, I remember there was a survey that had this question:
“I like things to stay the same”
[ ] Agree
[ ] Disagree
I thought it was a bad question, because I don’t think you can be black-or-white in this matter. Well, you can, but most people wouldn’t be. I’d choose something in between. But not having that option, I think I’d agree.
I like routine.
Well, in saying that I like routine, I guess what I’m actually saying is I don’t dislike routine, which seems to be the norm these days. Everybody wants to seem adventurous, spontaneous, and routine sounds boring, so eeeverybody hates routine. Not me.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I want every day to be the same. For me, it’s just for parts of the day, certain aspects, that I prefer to be consistent. Actually, I’d say it’s only about work.
I like my working day to be predictable. I love my paycheck to be predictable. I need my working hours to be predictable, so I can plan the rest of my life properly.
But from 5 to 9, bring on the randomness, I love it.
Concordo plenamente contigo, meu amigo PARDO.
